There are several ideas going on in this arrangement. The table was made by cutting off the end of a dining table, painting it and securing it to the wall. I got the table for free...so you cant ask for a better result than this.
The ottoman, which I made for extra seating, is refurbished from a sturdy old drawer, a coffee sack upholstered top, and some vintage legs found at a garage sale. To balance the table setting, I placed some gourds in an old rusty prospecting pan, next to one of my lamps, and a few old books I've collected.
A ripped rag shade on a painted "just out of date" lamp..... fun and stunning!
Old window frames make great chalkboards. This board fills the blank space over my sink and between the cabinets. My kids like leaving their mark :)
